Rules + POKER NIGHTS 'Shoot-Out' Format

Rules of play + Why is POKER NIGHTS so unique?

WIN YOUR TABLE !! Then Play On The Final Table !!
It's a 'Shoot-Out' - Get a read on players at your table with relatively even chip stacks on the Final Table !

TEXAS HOLD’EM – ‘SHOTGUN’ Style is the best Poker game:

For a TRUE Poker experience every time, Texas Hold’em Poker {No-Limit}– 'Shotgun' is played at every Poker Night event. 'Shotgun' means the winner of each table plays on the Final Table. Basically, you try and WIN your table to progress to the Final Table(s). Shotgun is the most authentic style of poker because all players’ chips can be accounted for and it is impossible to use chips from a previous event. You also get to read your players better.
Why would you risk playing any other way? And it makes for a more enjoyable game allowing you to get to know other players better.

Although each Poker Night is a free event, players are rewarded with extra playing chips with any drink (including soft drinks) or food purchase.
With your 1st purchase before the start of play, you start with 10,000 instead of 1,000 chips. This makes you eligible to re-buy once (if eliminated in the first session) with another 5,000 chips, or Add-On 5,000 chips to your stack if you didn't Buy-Back {with a 2nd stamp}.
If you still have chips on your starting table, after the first break with a 4th stamp you will receive an Extra 5K Add-On.
If you are 1 of the first 8* x players eliminated and you have a 3rd stamp, you get an extra chance to play on the 'BAD-BEAT' Table. The Winner of the 'Bad-Beat' table plays on the FINAL Table with the bottom chip stack or {[with 33 or more players you get 10K per/stamp [Max 80k]}; or
you get a seat on the Final table if your name is selected in a lucky {NITRO} draw with 3 stamps minimum with same chip stack as the Bad-Beat winner*.
When there are 32 players or less, you will be given the same chips that matches the lowest stack on the Final table or 30K minimum whatever is higher. When there are 33 or more players you will be given 10,000 chips for each stamp on your ticket (80,000 max).

MEDALLIONS: Medallions will be awarded to nightly winners at all nightly events with a minimum 33 players required !

Poker-Nights 'NoTexas Holdem' Rules:

Holdem

Holdem is a game in which each player receives two “hole” cards as their initial hand. Each player uses their two hole cards along with the five community cards to form the best five-card poker hand.

If a player plays out of turn, they cannot Raise during that same round.
For all other rules please notify the Poker-Nights host.

Step by Step

  1. Two cards are dealt face down, and the first round of betting takes place
  2. The first three community cards are opened simultaneously followed by the second round of betting. The fourth and fifth community cards are then dealt one at a time followed by the fourth and final betting rounds
  3. Players make their five card poker hand using any combination of their two hole cards and the five community cards
  4. At the showdown, the winning hand is the highest ranking five-card poker hand

Blind and Betting Structure

In order to start the betting action, Holdem uses what are called blind bets (blinds) to stimulate action and initiate play. Blinds are posted before the dealer deals the first cards by players who sit in consecutive clockwise order from the dealer button with the first player posting a predetermined amount call the “small blind”. The next person in order posts what is known as the “big blind”. Action is initiated on the first betting round by the player on the immediate left of the big blind. The blinds act last on the first betting round and are “live”, which means the player is allowed to raise his own blind bet. The board cards are dealt in three sequences known as the “Flop”, the “Turn” and the “River”. In Holdem there are four total rounds of betting, two at the smaller limit and two at the larger limit. The first round of betting takes place after each player has been dealt their initial two-card hand. The second betting round takes place after the Flop has been dealt. The third round of betting takes place after the Turn card has been dealt and the fourth and final round of betting will take place after the River card has been dealt. A new player entering any Holdem game has several options to satisfy the initial blind requirements:

  • Wait for their big blind.
  • Wait until the button passes and then post their big blind.
  • Post the big blind immediately, regardless of seat position
  • If you choose the second or third option, the blind acts as your opening bet. If a player leaves the table for any reason and any blind passes their position, they may resume play by posting the total amount of the blinds for the game or wait for the big blind
